Slip of a Thing

Rumi of Fashiontoast and Amber le Bon proving that camis and slips can look as good out of the bedroom as in. Soft, delicate, demure and feminine; what's not to love?

Save It for Spring

As much as I'm enjoy Christmas party frocks and festive cheer, I'm not a fan of the Christmas sales (perhaps because I worked in so many, with scars to prove it!). So this year I'm saving my money, strength and patience for the spring stock.

Tell Me This..

Would it be a bit much to have a purse, travel holder and hip flask that all sorta matched? Yes? No?

Fashion & Lyrics # 17

The King; Elvis Presley
"Rhythm is something you either have or don't have, but when you have it, you have it all over."

Elvis Presley the undisputed king of rock n roll but also a prince of style. From early days of an 'American Rebel' look befitting James Dean and Marlon Brando to the almighty bling of his Vegas shows his style evolved over the course of his career. The monochrome stripes of Jailhouse Rock look as fresh today as they did in 1957, his sharp suits and pegged trousers are timeless and those embellished jumpsuits still copied today (Katy Perry I'm looking at you). Boy could he move.

"I think I have something tonight that's not quite correct for evening wear. Blue suede shoes."

For those of you who know me you’re most likely wondering how I managed to get this far into the blogosphere without mentioning Elvis. It's been really hard I can tell you. My father pretty much thinks he is Elvis and well I knew his lyrics been I could even walk. The song in the video clip below was my 'party piece' as a little girl and may account for my love of all things puppet. Enjoy x

Gaga; A Mouton Collet Romance

You may remember way back in August when I befriended the great Mouton Collet and even composed a three scene Love Story (Scene I, Scene II and Scene III) inspired by their collections. Well now it seems Lady Gaga is a lil bit in love with Mouton Collet too..
